Garden Bulbs
Mixed Colour Hyacinth Bulbs
From £12.00
In stock for immediate dispatch — freshly packed on the day and ready to plant now for spring flowering.
This mixed selection features white, blue, pink and purple hyacinth bulbs. Hyacinthus orientalis has received the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit (AGM) for outstanding excellence, helping gardeners choose the best plants for their gardens.
Expect cylindrical clusters of very fragrant, bell-shaped flowers blooming along fleshy stems in early to mid-spring. The out-facing tubular flowers have six wide-flaring, back-swept lobes, surrounded by symmetrical rosettes of upright, lance-shaped basal leaves.
Plant bulbs 7–10 cm deep in clusters in sun or light shade with well-drained, fertile soil. They look best planted in masses among other spring bulbs, make excellent bedding plants, or add spring colour to mixed borders. Their fragrance can be detected from a considerable distance. They're also perfect for container growing — try combining with Tête à Tête daffodils for a stunning display.
These bulbs attract bees and pollinating insects, and are naturally pest-resistant to deer and rodents.
